The Desolace section involves several quest chains from Shimmering Flats and other zones that send you to Desolace. So, I knew going in that I wouldn't be doing the majority of the quests here. Even so, I still managed to overshoot the section's goal of reaching level 35 by a good bit, and without grinding simply to level.

At certain points, the guide will prompt you to grind out the rest of your level while you travel if you haven't hit the target level yet. This is simply because of luck. If you have to kill mobs for a drop for a quest, that kill experience is figured into the Guide. If you get lucky with drops, you may need to make a few kills to catch up. This wasn't the case here, though I did get into random fights while traveling the zone.

None of the quests were difficult or hard to figure out. I was playing very late at night, and tired, though, and managed to do not one, but two corpse runs due to my own errors in play. (One of which was forgetting to soulstone myself!) This ate up some time. The biggest time sinks though, were when I was doing a quest to get two items to drop from two different kinds of mobs.
